Partner

Phil Bishop is a co-owner of Natural Synergies, Inc. He has been discovering, working and playing with QlikView since early 1996. At that time, Bjorn Berg, the founder of QlikTech had recently brought QlikView to the United States, and Phil was one of the first users of the product in North America. Working for Amdahl Corporation (now owned by Fujitsu), Phil delivered QlikView solutions to Amdahl customers and worked to integrate the product into Amdahl’s service offerings.

In 1997, Phil was hired as the first technical employee for QlikTech Inc. in North America, and was primarily responsible for overseeing and managing QlikTech’s partnership with Dendrite (now owned by Cegedim). This partnership grew to become one of the strongest and most profitable joint ventures for QlikTech, and included customers such as Pfizer, Sanofi Aventis, Lilly, and many other pharmaceutical companies. During this time, as QlikView started to mature, Phil was developing and implementing techniques such as link tables and many of the user interface designs that have become consulting standards today.

Since leaving QlikTech in 2001, Phil has continued his QlikView consulting with pharmaceutical companies, as well as developing cutting edge analysis for hospital-based coding and billing, and clinical patient outcomes. The QlikTech relationship also has continued to thrive, as Phil contracts with QlikTech to develop training and documentation materials for QlikView products.

In 2007, Phil joined with Oleg Troyansky to form Natural Synergies, Inc. The intent was to synergize with Oleg’s extensive experience in delivering QlikView to manufacturing companies, and to serve the growing customer base of QlikView users.  Today, Phil continues to develop his Pharmaceutical and Healthcare practice at Natural Synergies as he mentors a new generation of QlikView developers.

Phil currently resides in New York State, with his wife and two children.

Oleg Troyansky
Partner

Oleg Troyansky is the President of Natural Synergies, Inc. A former QlikView customer, Oleg, as a VP for IT at Blyth HomeScents International, implemented QlikView in 2003 and developed several analytic applications to help the consumer products manufacturer improved management of sales, inventories, profitability, freight costs, and more.

Oleg has been an active supporter and advocate for QlikView, speaking at industry events like the Gartner BI Summit, annual Qonnections meetings and others. Many of Oleg’s success stories from that time are published in several on-line publications. Oleg is known among QlikView veterans as the inventor of the famous “cockpit report.”

Since forming Natural Synergies with Phil Bishop in 2007, Oleg has been helping customers generate value from their QlikView and ERP investments. Advanced Inventory Analysis, Plant Capacity Simulation and S&OP Dashboard are just a few examples of his advanced analytic development work. Oleg primarily focuses on manufacturing and CPG market segments. Most of Oleg’s customers use QlikView on top of their Oracle (JDE), Lawson M3 (MOVEX), Infor (BPCS) or SAP ERP systems.

Oleg is also one of the most active members and one of the moderators of QlikCommunity forums, where he helps hundreds of QlikView developers overcome challenges and make the most of the application.  Prior to falling in love with QlikView, Oleg enjoyed a thrilling and versatile IT career, spanning more that 20 years across four countries on four continents. He joined the AS/400 development community shortly after its introduction, and was one of the early adopters of the MOVEX Fashion vertical product, actively working with the MOVEX Fashion team to develop the new software.

Over the years, Oleg’s focus has been on developing, designing and managing business applications that help manufacturing and CPG companies improve their business through effective use of information. Today, using QlikView, he and his colleagues at Natural Synergies can do that far more effectively than ever before.

Oleg resides in Chicago with his wife and two children.
